ROLE: Mental Health Support Worker
LOCATION: Cildewi House, Johnstown (SA31)
SALARY: £13.20 – £13.90* per hour
HOURS: 35 hours a week
About Cildewi House
Cildewi is located in Carmarthen, the oldest town in Wales. We are very privileged to be surrounded by many historic landmarks and are within close proximity to Llanstephan Beach.
We support up to 7 adults who may have Personality Disorder, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Self Harm and eating disorders. We tailor individualised support plans to promote independence in preparation independent living. The people we support like to access the community to complete various activities like shopping, bowling, eating out etc and have loads of fun!
As a Mental Health Support Worker, You Will Be Involved In The Day To Day Support And Routine Of The People Within The Service Including
- Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
- Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
- Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
- Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
- Assisting with personal care as required.
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
- Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
