Accomplish Group is looking for a Male Deputy Manager based in Cheshire.

Job Details

  • Location: Cheshire
  • Salary: Β£15.00 per hour, plus an additional 50p per hour with Level 5 experience
  • Hours: 40 per week (32 hours on support, 8 hours in Sandbach head office a week plus 1 weekend per month)
  • Shifts: 08:00 – 22:00 (must be flexible within this window)

We require a Male Deputy Manager over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting, making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule. A UK driving licence is required as you will need to travel between our Cheshire services in Crewe, Winsford and Northwich.

About Cheshire Services

Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Cheshire provides support for people with Mental Health needs, Autism, Learning Disabilities and Acquired Brain Injuries. Staff support each person to create a person‑centred plan that tells us how they want to live their life now and in the future. Through a range of communication tools, we ensure that each person is closely involved in the development of their own plan. We meet with each person referred and their family so that we can develop a strong understanding of their life story, any support or communication needs and their personal aspirations. We work in partnership with local health professionals such as social workers, community nurses, and specialists such as Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Care Home Manager in overall management of the facility, including staff management, resident care and administrative tasks.
  • Assist in recruitment, training and supervision of care staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Oversee assessment, care planning and implementation of care plans for residents, ensuring their individual needs and preferences are met.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including resident files, staff rosters and financial documents.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, families and external stakeholders, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company policies, promoting a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff.
  • Participate in regular meetings and training sessions, contributing to the continuous professional development of the team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role within healthcare or social care sector.
  • Relevant qualification in health or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3, Diploma in Health and Social Care).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents, families and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including CQC standards.
  • IT proficiency, including experience with care management systems.
