Hours: 35 hours per week
Please note, you are required to hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
Note: We require a Female Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting; this position is exempt from the gender discrimination rule.
About Church Road
Church Road recently opened in Ferndown. At Church Road we provide accommodation and support for up to 8 adults with Acquired Brain Injuries or Neurological Conditions. We also work closely with people placed on rehabilitation-focused placements supported by neuro therapists, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech & language therapy and neuro psychology, to aid people in their recoveries. Our multidisciplinary team will undertake a thorough assessment prior to any admission, working closely with the individual, their family, carers and other health-care professionals to identify their goals and aspirations and create an individually tailored support plan.
Responsibilities:
- Providing high standards of care and support for people we support, in line with care and support plans
- Encouraging good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
- Accurately reporting, recording and maintaining records as required and working to care plans
- Liaising with health professionals and their families
- Completing supervisions and audits
- Ensuring that all duties undertaken by reporting staff are performed to required standards and that all such staff contribute positively to provide a happy, efficient and homely atmosphere within the Home.
Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development.
