JOB ROLE: Support Worker

LOCATION: Gowerton, Swansea (SA4)

SALARY: £14.05 - £14.75 per hour

HOURS: 35 hours per week

Please note we require a Female Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting, making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

About Cae Deri

Cae Deri provides specialist support to 14 adults with mental health needs, including individuals who may also have a learning disability or dual diagnosis. We support people with a wide range of abilities, including those with more complex or challenging needs. Our focus is on creating a positive, supportive, and enjoyable environment where individuals can feel safe, valued, and at home.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administering medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
  • Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
