JOB ROLE: Support Worker

LOCATION: Brecon, Powys (LD3)

SALARY: £14.05 - £14.75* per hour

HOURS: 35 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking individuals who are flexible and available to work both day and night shifts as needed.

About Bryn Awel

We provide residential support for 7 adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health needs. We encourage and motivate each person we support to feel good about themselves. We enable people to gain confidence and do the things that are important to them and ultimately to lead happy and fulfilled lives.

As a Support Worker, You Will Be Involved In The Day-to-day Support And Routine Of The People Within The Service Including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
