About Cranwell Court
Cranwell Court supports seven people with Autism, helping them to structure their time, build relationships, and establish a balance between activities, self-care, work, and leisure, as appropriate to their individual needs. We support by working with and not for the individuals, using our experience to help them on their journey towards greater independence and a fulfilling life.
Our staff support each person to create a person-centred plan that tells us how they want to live their life now and in the future. Through a range of communication tools, we ensure that each person is closely involved in the development of their own plan, discussing their likes, interests, goals, and aspirations with their Key Worker.
Cranwell Court is located in a quiet village of Wyboston in Bedfordshire. This extensively refurbished property has five spacious en-suite bedrooms and two studio apartments. Communal areas consist of a lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and large garden.
As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service, including:
- Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
- Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
- Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administering medication.
- Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping.
- Assisting with personal care as required.
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
- Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching, and development.
