Activities Support Worker – Liverpool

Role: Activities Support Worker. Location: Liverpool, L9. Salary: £13.45 – £14.05 per hour (dependent on qualifications). Hours: 37.5 per week. Shifts: Monday – Friday 9am – 4:30pm. A full, clean driving licence is required; driving the centre’s minibus will be part of the role.

The Walton Resource Centre supports up to 60 clients per day in a lively, busy environment, providing leisure, vocational and citizenship activities in the community. The role involves supporting adults with complex needs—including learning difficulties, autism and challenging behaviours—encouraging independence on‑site and in the community. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptionally high standards, an empathic approach and act as a role model for the adults we support.

Responsibilities

  • Support up to 60 clients per day in leisure, vocational and citizenship activities.
  • Encourage independence on‑site and within the community.
  • Provide support to adults with complex needs, including learning difficulties, autism and challenging behaviours.
  • Act as a role model for adults and maintain high professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Full, clean driving licence (minibus driving).
  • Experience supporting adults with learning difficulties, autism or behavioural challenges (desired).
