API is seeking a seasoned professional to join our company in the role of Planning Specialist. The Planning Specialist's goal is to correctly process our airline and rail partners' schedules in our system ACES.
Essential Functions
- Ensure airline planning files are transferred into API's ACES system during the expected time.
- Meet timelines for delivery of completed schedules.
- Plan and develop airlines monthly bid period hotel and ground transportation schedules.
- Comply with airline requirements as negotiated in hotel contracts.
- Ensure airline business rules are adhered to during hotel assignments, requiring a detailed review of the schedules and reports.
- Release the hotel and ground transportation schedules to the suppliers using the API supplier website.
- Update ACES system with hotel contract information.
- Perform audit of ACES system to ensure accuracy of data.
- Work with Account Management and Operations team to ensure airline rooming requirements are managed on a monthly basis.
- Communicate with airline representatives to ensure accuracy of planning schedules.
- Maintain close working relationships with internal and external clients.
- Work closely with the Account Management team to ensure client needs are met at all times.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year in operations or airline crew scheduling experience is preferred.
- Hotel or Airline background will be an asset.
- Computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office.
- Ability to effectively manage workload in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality work is a must.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible to work after hours based on business demand.

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, normal core business hours and two weekend days per month. If working a weekend shift, team members will have a day off during the week.

This position requires minimal travel.

Bi-lingual is a plus.
