About the role
The Brand Manager is responsible for the management of a specific brand portfolio including the development, implementation and optimisation of consumer based, EMEA brand plans including P&L, portfolio, campaign and project management and will support the Marketing Manager on brand strategy, platforms and growth initiatives. Please note, this is a Maternity Cover (4 months) with potential to extend further.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Brand Strategy & Leadership
- Assist in developing the global brand vision, positioning, architecture and portfolio strategy for the brand
- Support Global & Local Marketing Manager by leading the development of the annual marketing plans including market diagnosis, consumer understanding, innovation roadmap, market prioritisation and growth strategies
- Own the articulation and implementation of global brand guidelines within EMEA
- Drive global storytelling and creative direction, ensuring brand consistency and cultural relevance across EMEA
- Innovation & Portfolio Management
- Oversee product portfolio strategy and long-term category opportunities
- Collaborate closely with Innovation, Production, Insights, Finance, Supply, Winemaking and local Sales & Marketing to shape brand-led innovation and optimisation
- Insights, Performance & Market Intelligence
- Be the brand expert within the UK through detailed monthly brand, market and competitor reports including brand health tracking, performance tracking, competitive analysis, profitability and ROI from specific activities
- Translate consumer, category and cultural insights into tactics for the brand
- Global-Local Implementation
- Act as a support to UK markets— developing market plans and ensuring adaptation of global strategies into best-in-class UK implementation
- Lead global brand forums, alignment sessions and senior stakeholder presentations
- Agency & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Support relationships with global & local creative, PR/Influencer, media and design agencies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Marketing, Brand Marketing, Commercial, Category & Insights, Innovation, Finance and senior leadership teams
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree - Qualified in Business, Marketing or related discipline
- 6-8 years in a brand management role in either FMCG or Liquor industry
- Effective analysis and interpretation of brand data
- Excellent planning and project management skills, including the ability to lead & collaborate on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated experience in marketing across complex retail environments and matrix organisations
- Demonstrated experience supporting brand P&L management
- Brings deep consumer marketing expertise, combining strategic insight with creative and culturally informed execution
- General understanding of, and appreciation for, the wine/liquor industry
