Vinarchy is redefining wine as a newly formed global wine company, bringing together the scale, heritage and ambition of Accolade Wines and Pernod Ricard Winemakers. As we continue to integrate and strengthen our global technology landscape, we are investing in resilient, secure and future ready IT infrastructure to support our teams across regions. We are seeking a Systems Engineer, UK to join our Global IT team, supporting operations across EMEA and the Americas, with a primary focus on the UK. This role plays a critical part in maintaining and improving infrastructure reliability, security and performance while contributing to global IT initiatives.
This role will ideally be based in one of our UK Offices, however we are also open to candidates based in Spain.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and optimising cloud and on premises infrastructure, ensuring performance, security and compliance
- Maintaining backup and disaster recovery solutions, meeting defined RPO objectives
- Acting as an escalation point for L2/L3 technical incidents, resolving complex issues efficiently
- Providing out of hours support as required for global operations
- Contributing to infrastructure and technology projects, recommending fit for purpose solutions
- Driving continuous improvement across systems, processes and ITSM maturity
- Collaborating with global infrastructure teams and offshore partners
- Mentoring junior team members and sharing technical knowledge
- Managing vendor relationships to ensure SLA adherence and service quality
- Producing and maintaining clear technical documentation for systems and procedures
This role operates in a hybrid working model, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Experience and Capability
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure engineering
- Strong experience across cloud platforms (Azure, OCI) and on prem technologies
- Hands on expertise with virtualisation (VMware), storage (SAN) and networking (LAN/WAN/Wireless)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive
- Proven experience managing endpoint protection, patching, firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto) and cybersecurity best practices
- Strong capability in backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g. Veeam)
- Experience resolving complex technical escalations and cross functional issues
- Understanding of ITIL frameworks and improving IT service management maturity
- Exposure to SD WAN, SASE/SSE, SWG, IP Telephony, monitoring tools and basic automation/scripting
- Ability to clearly document system design, operations and troubleshooting procedures
- A tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.

Your Key Accountabilities
Infrastructure Management
- Maintain and optimize IT infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.

Physical and Other Requirements
- Some business travel may be required from time to time
- Occasional after-hours work may be required to engage with stakeholders and team members across time zones
