About the role
As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will be required to assist the Tax Manager in the management and preparation of tax analyses and calculations to meet tax and statutory compliance requirements across a broad range of taxes for the UK consolidated group, including foreign subsidiaries and branches. You will work both independently and collaboratively with the wider Finance teams and the wider business. To be successful in this role, you will require an analytical approach and can demonstrate a sound understanding of accounting and tax compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Tax Manager in managing and meeting all tax filing deadlines of the group and payments of taxes (predominantly Corporate Taxes and VAT)
- Generating the 1st review of detailed analysis and calculations prepared by Tax Analyst
- Preparing more complicated analyses for all tax returns and month end / year-end tax packs
- Reviewing all tax returns prepared by external advisors for foreign subsidiaries and branches, ready for Tax Manager sign off
- Managing monthly SAO testing to ensure tests performed in real time and issues investigated and resolved
- Managing the preparation of PAYE Settlement Agreement return process, review analysis and calculations prepared by Tax Analyst
- Assisting in tax statutory reporting where necessary
Further responsibilities:
- Assisting with any ad hoc queries, analyses and projects as required
- Continuously improve and document procedures and controls for all aspects of the role
What you’ll bring:
- Tax qualified (CTA)
- 2-3 years' relevant tax experience
- Accounting/financial reporting experience (preferable)
