About The Role
We are currently searching for a Credit Controller Europe to support export credit management across Europe. The Credit Controller will provide on-ground support for the offshore team through a combination of critical local knowledge and hands-on resolution of operational issues. They will be responsible for effective management, analysis, and problem resolution of Vinarchy’s outstanding accounts and the application of payments. This position reports into the Finance Shared Services Transactional Lead and is based in Bristol. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing key internal and external stakeholders within assigned region
- Liaise with sales leads to analyse monthly payment performance report, and agreed prioritisation and/or escalation of any issues identified
- Export collection activities and customer statement reconciliations for ~60 countries
- Prepare supporting material for approval of write-offs and bad debts from Finance Manager Shared Services
- Support in customer follow-ups
- Support for roadblocks on reviewing customer profile
- Export claims management activities for ~60 countries
- Prepare supporting material for approval of write-offs beyond offshore team limits (in accordance with approval matrix, if any) from Finance Manager Shared Services
- Support roadblocks on getting information from shop(s)
- Scanning of remittances received via post or fax to offshore team
- Upload invoice copies/statements received or sent through post
- Present functional updates internally when required
- Support the Shared Services Transactional Lead ensuring all authority levels are adhered to and comply with external and internal audit procedures
- Liaise with in-country auditor teams as required
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable preferred
- Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with change management and business process improvement
- Proven communication skills with ability to work under pressure & to meet deadlines
- Understanding of Sales Ledger Management
- Credit risk management
- MS Office Skills (Intermediate)
- ERP system experience ICM preferable but not essential
- Attention to detail with a focused and structured approach
- The ability and drive to do things better & to identify, set and strive for challenging goals
- Having pride in setting and exceeding own standards & persistence in the face of obstacles
- The ability to share collective responsibility, demonstrating skills in working collaboratively, valuing difference & encouraging high performance through teams
