Main Duties: Oversee the maintenance and repair of college buildings, grounds, classrooms, laboratories, and common areas. Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards, maintenance issues, and areas for improvement. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal maintenance staff for repairs, installations, and renovation projects. Monitor and manage building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety equipment. Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards. Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, service reports, and incident logs. Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages, floods, or equipment failures. Assist with space planning and the setup of classrooms, events, and college activities. Support sustainability initiatives and efficient resource use across campus facilities. Participate in the development and implementation of facility management policies and procedures. Person Specification: Proven experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety standards. Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and maintenance records. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
