Job Description:
- Undertake and manage general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, heating, carpentry and decorating.
- Conduct routine inspections of building structures, equipment and assets, performing reactive and preventive maintenance with minimal disruption to guests and visitors.
- Install, inspect and troubleshoot equipment, appliances and systems, including heating and air conditioning distribution systems.
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and external providers, ensuring compliance with service agreements and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and daily logs of all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Actively contribute to the safety of people and property, including maintaining clear emergency exits.
- Undertake appropriate training to develop expertise and identify areas for operational improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in building maintenance or a related trade (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC systems).
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and building compliance standards.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliability, responsibility, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.
