Job Description:

  • Undertake and manage general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, heating, carpentry and decorating.
  • Conduct routine inspections of building structures, equipment and assets, performing reactive and preventive maintenance with minimal disruption to guests and visitors.
  • Install, inspect and troubleshoot equipment, appliances and systems, including heating and air conditioning distribution systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors and external providers, ensuring compliance with service agreements and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and daily logs of all repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Actively contribute to the safety of people and property, including maintaining clear emergency exits.
  • Undertake appropriate training to develop expertise and identify areas for operational improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in building maintenance or a related trade (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC systems).
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and building compliance standards.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliability, responsibility, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.
