Job Description:
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, leading and mentoring the team to deliver excellence
- Lead reactive and proactive multi-skilled maintenance services across all operational equipment and hotel infrastructure
- Develop and implement planned maintenance schedules and preventative maintenance programmes, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards
- Drive operational effectiveness by establishing policies, procedures, and best practice standards whilst monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Manage maintenance budgets, control external provider costs, and identify lifecycle deficiencies to inform capital investment planning
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements and implement sustainable maintenance practices to reduce energy consumption
- Collaborate with General Manager on maintenance planning, complete monthly energy reports, and support new business initiatives
- Recruit, supervise, train, and develop a high-performing and autonomous maintenance team, providing technical expertise and support
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks, and inspect works to ensure compliance with required standards
- Plan, manage, and coordinate maintenance projects and lifecycle works, ensuring quality delivery and budget adherence
- Cover shifts as required, including duty manager responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar senior maintenance role within the hospitality sector
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, mechanical and electrical equipment, preventative maintenance practices, and HSE compliance requirements
- Budget management and cost control experience
- Proven leadership capabilities with strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities and shift coverage
