ibis Styles Barnsley is looking for an outgoing, dependable, welcoming Hotel Assistant to deliver an amazing first impression and ensure our guests want to come back time and again. We need a Guest Service Assistant on a casual basis, in return for a competitive salary of £12.71 per hour. Personality and potential are top of our hiring wish list, but experience in a customer‑facing hospitality job would be a big benefit. We need people who are open, welcoming and who know what great customer service looks like.
You may work in the bar and restaurant serving guests, pulling pints, taking orders and checking everything spick and span. As we are all one big team, you may also be checking guests in and out, answering questions and supporting them during their stay. You could be working a mix of midweek, weekend, early and late shifts. As you'll be serving alcohol, we require applicants to be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities- You are a people‑person and like customer service.
- You will be involved in serving our guests, making them feel welcome, happy and ensuring they are having a great stay.
- You will be serving food, drinks & wine, ensuring the restaurant & bar are clean and tidy and ready for next service.
- You will be working midweek and weekends, with a mix of breakfast and dinner shifts.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in a hospitality customer‑facing role is a plus.
- Able to work varying shifts, including early, late, midweek and weekends.
- Minimum 18 years of age; able to serve alcohol.
