Job Description

Located in the heart of Birmingham city centre, just moments from New Street Station, ibis Birmingham New Street Station hotel welcomes guests from around the world. We're looking for a friendly, energetic and customer-focused Reception Team Member to join our team. This is a full-time role with a salary of up to £12.71 per hour plus benefits.

You will likely be the first person our guests meet, so you'll need to create great first impressions, deliver excellent service and help ensure they enjoy a smooth and welcoming stay.

What you'll be doing:

  • Welcome guests and manage check-ins and check-outs
  • Handle reservations, enquiries and guest requests
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records
  • Promote hotel services and facilities
  • Resolve guest queries efficiently and professionally
  • Work closely with other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience

What we're looking for:

  • A friendly and approachable personality
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence using computers and hotel systems
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience is beneficial
