Objective
We are looking for a dedicated and hungry internal sales professional that will be responsible for selling a range of international freight services to meet sales targets and generate revenue. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new sales opportunities and converting them to trading customers by prospecting and converting new leads. In addition, you will be required to maintain a high level of customer service with existing customers and leverage those relationships to expand business.
Key Accountabilities
- Sell profitable new business within assigned territory by cold calling, cultivating leads and networking.
- Ensure monthly and YTD business revenue and profit targets are met.
- Make customised presentations to various decision makers to close new business.
- Maintain and increase revenue streams with current key accounts in a specific territory.
- Master extensive knowledge of the brand and its products.
- Ensure high post-sale satisfaction and positive long-term relationships.
- 12 new business appointments per week.
Key Skills and Requirements
- 2 years successful and documented B2B sales experience.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrable evidence of cold calling.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel (additional experience with a CRM system is preferred).
- Successful professional track record with solid achievements, rankings, or awards.
- Transportation industry, domestic or international sales experience highly preferred.
- Entrepreneurial attitude.
- Ability to manage your own diary and diverse workload.
- Self-motivated to work independently and part of a team.
