Driver Training Instructor

An ideal candidate for this post would reside in the Essex, Sussex or Portsmouth areas although other regions will be considered.

Salary: From £25,000 a year subject to experience and qualifications

We are currently looking for a diligent, reliable Material Handling Equipment instructor to join our team. This is a permanent position based out of our Purfleet, Essex branch subject to a probation period.

Acclaim Handling was founded in 1982 as a materials handling service provider strategically headquartered in Purfleet next to M25/Dartford Crossing with regional service centres in Norwich, Spalding, Rugby, Reading, Maidstone, Waterlooville and Liverpool. Serving London, the South East, Home Counties, East Anglia, the Fens, the Midlands, the north and through our partner network, the rest of the UK and Ireland.

Our Forklift Truck Training Department is a professional team that takes pride in having trained over 700 RTITB registered Instructors, as well as many thousands of Fork Lift Truck Operators.

With our dedicated full-time trainers, we administer all types of forklift truck and equipment training on our premises and on customer sites.

The Role

Carrying out training at our centres in Kent and Essex but also delivering training at our customer sites throughout the country. This position is Monday – Friday with a flexible attitude on hours.

The Candidate

Must have either an RTITB, AITT or ITTSAR instructor certification in date.

Experience of MHE and delivering training.

Full driving license.

Able to train on Counterbalance and Reach; PPT would be an advantage, but not essential as further training will be carried out.

Registered RTITB Instructor (preferred), preferably with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. A good knowledge of warehouse and logistics movements. The ability to work unsupervised and have good people skills, be able to work as part of a team, accurately complete all relevant paperwork in a timely manner. Smart appearance, reliable and good time keeper. Good communication skills. Prepared to travel which on a rare occasion could include nights away from home.
