Acclaim Handling Ltd is a well-established UK leader in materials handling, providing forklift sales, hire, servicing, and operator training since 1982.

Whilst serving just the Southeast in its founding years, the company has since expanded to 8 regional depots covering much of the UK.

  • Work: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30 - Door to Door pay. 40 hours per week

Location: Working from home base but attached to a relevant Acclaim Handling Ltd depot.

Summary of

Job: Working with the Service Manager and liaising with the Service Controllers to service and repair forklift trucks at customers sites.

Position

Requirements: Onsite Customer Forklift Trucks Repairs Repair of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components.

Repairing hydraulic valves and rams.

Repairing final drive and gearbox components.

Repairing engines and components.

Inspecting and providing quotes to customers regarding repairs, in close liaison with the Service Manager.

To identify additional chargeable repairs that can be quoted to the customer.

Onsite Customer Forklift Truck Servicing Responsible for servicing LPG, diesel and electric powered forklift trucks to a high standard, and with a view to preventative maintenance.

Using a check sheet ensure the equipment is fully functional, and conforms to current legislation.

Changing the oil, filters, etc as necessary.

To carry out Thorough Examinations pending qualifications.

To identify additional chargeable repairs that can be quoted to the customer.

Onsite Customer Overhaul of Forklift Trucks Responsible for completing a partial or full strip-down of LPG, diesel or electric forklift trucks.

Onsite Customer Battery Maintenance Check voltages and gravities of traction batteries using meters and hydrometers. xgikmsk Complete a battery survey and report on it as required.
