Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure team. Reporting to the Head of Cloud Infrastructure, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation, support and maintenance of our infrastructure and systems across development, testing and production environments, hosted on GCP and co-location data centres. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced DevOps professional to contribute to the evolution of our products and services, working within a collaborative team that values technical excellence, continuous improvement and a proactive approach to cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan and implement infrastructure change as part of a DevOps team, contributing to the evolution of our products and services.
  • Maintain secure and robust cloud‑based networks and infrastructure using IaC methods (Terraform), with strong knowledge of networking principles including routing, DNS, load balancing and security controls.
  • Manage containerised workloads using Kubernetes (GKE), ensuring high availability, scalability and efficient resource utilisation.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test and deployment workflows across environments.
  • Implement and manage systems monitoring, proactively respond to alerts, and participate in on‑call out‑of‑hours support on a rotational basis.
  • Participate in capacity planning, performance monitoring, disaster recovery testing and regular security audits.

Qualifications:

  • Several years of hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) core services.
  • Good working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu) administration.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles including IAM, RBAC, secrets management and network security controls.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tooling such as Prometheus/Grafana or Google Cloud Monitoring.
  • Good working knowledge of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and PowerShell/Linux scripting.
