You’ll support tāngata with their individual care needs and daily living activities — no qualifications or prior experience required. Your role is to provide safe, respectful, person-centred support in people’s homes, including being mindful of what matters to them, their culture, values, beliefs, routines, and boundaries.

  • Comprehensive paid training to set you up for success
  • Flexible hours — we’ll do our best to align your schedule with the needs of the people we support
  • Weekend shifts available (+$1.00 extra per hour)
  • Paid travel time and mileage — when you travel for work, we make sure you’re compensated fairly — including paid travel time and mileage for longer trips. Full details will be shared during onboarding.

Training

About You

  • Full/restricted driver’s license
  • Hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or have equivalent, relevant experience
  • Spinal injury experience
  • Stoma Management experience
  • Experienced in the use of a full, standing and two-person hoist
  • Experience administering prescribed medication
  • Love working with people and helping them thrive
  • Be willing to learn, reflect, and adapt your approach to what matters for each person
  • Have experience in or exposure to caregiving, disability support, aged care, community work, or other people-facing roles
  • Committed to culturally safe, respectful support for people from all backgrounds
  • Intuitive and responsive to people’s needs
  • Own a smartphone
  • Have the right to work in New Zealand
