We're looking for a commercially sharp, high-energy leader who thrives in fast-paced, growth environments. You'll likely bring:

  • Experience owning and growing a business unit, product, or P&L
  • A strong track record in fintech, payments, SaaS, or embedded finance (helpful but not essential)
  • Deep commercial instincts - you understand pricing, growth levers, and GTM strategy
  • The ability to translate customer needs into product outcomes
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams (sales, product, engineering)
  • A highly proactive, self-starting mindset - you bring ideas, not just execution
  • Strong stakeholder influence skills in a matrix organisation
  • Energy, ambition, and a desire to step into a broader leadership role
  • Wants more ownership, autonomy, and impact
  • Enjoys building and scaling products in fast-moving environments
  • Combines commercial thinking with product understanding

This is more than a functional leadership role - you will take full ownership of the business, with responsibility for strategy, product, commercial performance, and P&L. You'll lead PayWise+ end-to-end across strategy, product, commercial and operations, with the autonomy to shape its future and the support of one of the UK's leading software businesses. You will inherit:

  • A multi-million revenue business with strong foundations
  • A high-quality, cross-functional team of ~15 (UK + Romania)
  • Access to 160,000+ Access Group customers as a powerful embedded growth channel

What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Own and grow the business
  • Full P&L accountability - driving revenue, profitability, and long-term value
  • Define and execute the growth strategy
  • Shape and deliver the go-to-market approach across SMB and mid-market customers, leveraging Access' ecosystem
  • Lead a cross-functional organisation
  • Inspire and develop a 15-person team across product, engineering, sales, and marketing
  • Drive product innovation
  • Translate customer needs into a compelling roadmap and bring products to market at pace
  • Build strong internal influence
  • Partner with senior leaders across Access to unlock growth, resource, and alignment
  • Operate at pace
  • Combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution to deliver results quickly

What Makes This Role Exciting:

  • True ownership - Run a business, not just a function
  • High growth potential - Significant headroom to scale revenue and impact
  • Backed by scale - Leverage Access Group's customer base, infrastructure, and brand
  • Entrepreneurial environment - Autonomy to shape strategy and make decisions
  • Visible leadership role - Work directly with senior leadership and influence at the highest levels
  • Product + commercial blend - Rare opportunity to own both sides of the equation

Salary: £77,501 per year - full-time. We offer a blended approach to office working and a range of benefits, including wellbeing days and 25 days of annual leave plus health contributions. Three charity days are allocated to support causes you care about. What we offer is a supportive, inclusive environment where people feel valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. We are committed to equality and diversity and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
