Are you a qualified plumber with an NVQ Level 2 or 3 and solid hands‑on experience in domestic systems? Would you like to put your weekends to work doing something genuinely rewarding, without leaving the trade behind?

This is a part‑time weekend role, so it suits someone who wants to keep working on the tools during the week while building a second string to their bow in training and assessment.

Access Training, established in 2004, is one of the UK's leading private training providers, delivering intensive trade courses for adult learners across multiple UK centres. We specialise in helping career changers and upskillers enter the construction and building services industries with confidence and competence. We are currently seeking a Weekend Plumbing Tutor to join our Welwyn Garden City site, working Saturdays and Sundays. This is a site‑based role with no travel to other centres required.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent), with strong hands‑on experience.
  • A background in domestic plumbing systems.
  • A passion for the trade and the ability to inspire and mentor learners.
  • Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Availability to work both Saturdays and Sundays.

What You’ll Get in Return

  • £250 per day.
  • 32 days of annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata).
  • Ongoing professional development, including support towards a recognised teaching or assessing qualification.
  • Full support and induction to help you succeed in your training role.
  • Be part of a friendly, expert team making a real difference in people's careers.

If you’re ready to share your expertise with those entering the trade, we’d love to hear from you.
