Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner
((BST: 8:00 - 18:00 (Mon/Thurs) 8:00 - 16:00 (Fri)))
Access Talent Group are recruiting for a well‑established, market‑leading consultancy offering a ‘one‑stop’ solution for all aspects of development transport planning, S278/38 highways scheme design, drainage, environmental planning, implementation and operation. They operate throughout the UK assisting our diverse clientele with a range of interesting projects.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office software packages
- Advanced understanding of spreadsheets / presentation of technical outputs e.g. traffic flows
- Use of AutoCAD
- Proficient use of ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
- Degree in applicable subject; Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering
- 2‑5 years’ experience of UK Transport Planning standards and processes
The role:
- Preparation of detailed Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
- Preparation of Travel Plans as well as Travel Plan Coordination
- Preparation and presentation of technical data and drawings
- Undertaking junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
- Liaison with clients, contractors and local / national authorities as required
- Attendance at meetings / public consultation events as required
- Management of small / medium sized projects
- Provide support and guidance to junior staff within the team
- Taking ownership of other traffic / transport related tasks as required by your Team Leader
