We are working with a dynamic, medium-sized design consultancy based in Leicester, specializing in both residential and commercial projects. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting our engineers in delivering high-quality designs and detailed drawings for both residential and commercial projects. You will be part of a friendly, professional environment where teamwork and development are highly valued.
Responsibilities:- Produce detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
- Assist in the preparation of structural design reports and calculations.
- Work closely with Structural Engineers to develop accurate and efficient design solutions.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Contribute to the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
- Support the project team in site visits, surveys, and inspections as needed.
- Maintain project records and documentation.
- HND/HNC in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in residential and commercial projects within a consultancy setting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes is advantageous.
- Experience in BIM processes would be a plus.
