We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering consultancy for a Senior Chartered Structural Engineer with a strong background in large-scale industrial big shed projects. If you’re experienced in the design and delivery of industrial buildings—such as logistics hubs, warehouses, and energy facilities—this is a fantastic opportunity to work on major, complex schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design of industrial shed and infrastructure building projects
- Oversee detailed analysis and design using modern software and engineering codes
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, geotechnical, MEP, etc.)
- Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and sustainability standards
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
- Contribute to project planning, reporting, and client meetings
Key Requirements
- Chartered Engineer status - IStructE or ICE – or near
- 5–6 years' experience in structural engineering, with a focus on industrial buildings
- Proven track record delivering similar projects (e.g., logistics, warehouses, energy sector)
- Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Buildings-focused background/experience
