Access have partnered with a multi-disciplinary, multi-national consultancy who are expanding their senior marine habitat specialist team across their UK offices. After continued success and international growth, our client is searching for Senior/Principal Marine habitat specialists who are ambitious, driven, experienced, focused on finding solutions and passionate about delivering technical excellence. Our client has extensive experience as a leading engineering consultancy and are an established organisation throughout the UK and global markets with over 50 offices in the UK alone.
Our client expects the successful applicant to undertake habitat creation projects confidently, complete biodiversity net gain assessments and act as a technical lead for the completion of other assessments whilst mentoring and providing oversight for more junior employees. With responsibility being key for this role, our client is seeking a marine ecologist who can provide clients with professional, accurate and detailed technical and consenting advice on a range of projects relative to marine habitat creation. The successful applicant will engage with key stakeholders, including local authorities, regulators and the general public. The perfect marine habitat specialist will be a strong communicator who is able to work well within a team to produce high quality work.
The perfect candidate must have:
- 5 years experience
- Achieved Chartership (or working towards)
- A full UK driving license
- The right to live and work in the UK
- Knowledge of UK and European legislation relevant to protected marine habitats and associated species
