We are looking for a talented and collaborative Senior Civil Engineer for a medium sized company with office locations in Central belt Scotland. This candidate will have strong experience within a design consultancy working in the built development infrastructure sector. You will work with a collaborative team across multiple offices including residential, education, commercial, development, and regeneration. As a senior, you will mentor and develop graduates while leading site design meetings with the principals.
Responsibilities:
- Team management – Lead projects and develop the team of varying levels
- Develop and train Junior staff within software, sector, and upskilling
- Be the face of the company and drive their presence and awareness when networking
- Participate in the Tendering and bidding process of new and existing client work
- In-depth understanding of industry processes, including planning applications, procurement, and technical approvals
- Proficiency in industry software like Microdrainage, Causeway Flow, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD
- Exceptional report-writing skills
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- High proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word)
- Strong teamwork and time management skills
3 days a week hybrid working in the office, 26 days annual leave, life assurance, company pension 5% employer, cycle to work.
