Civil & Structural Engineering, Transport Infrastructure
Access Talent is currently working with a medium sized employee-owned consultancy who are looking to grow their team and are after a Senior Civil Engineering Drainage team in 5 offices in Scotland and one in England. This is an opportunity to work for a consultancy that is getting increasingly busy with a pipeline of projects that would turn heads of many engineers. What is unique about this opportunity is that each day will be very varied. With workload being spread across 5 offices you will be working on plenty of different projects with a large inflow. Some projects that are coming up include working on the Edinburgh Museum as well as the Edinburgh Castle. There is a mix of conservation projects as well as new builds up to the value of £100m. The new build properties are larger scale residential properties as well as one off luxury houses. They have branched in the active travel space with a bias on the drainage design for these projects.
Requirements
- Degree in civil engineering or similar
- IEng acquired and working towards or have gained CEng status
- Experience in highways, access roads and temporary/enabling works design
- Undertake due diligence, feasibility studies, conceptual optioneering, detailed design both pre and post planning and design and build through construction
- Auto CAD, Civil 3D and Microdrainage experience
- Great knowledge of the Design manual of Roads and Bridges (DMRB)
Responsibilities
- Mentoring and supporting the development of the Civils Team
- Managing and producing technical documents
- Supporting the team with project delivery
- Development of engineering solutions and presentation of engineering options
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the budget for projects including the planning, monitoring, and reporting of project resources
- Provide technical input to the pricing of project briefs, proposals, and deliverables
