Remote Plan Checker
We are currently working with a private‑sector client who are looking for a Remote Plan Checker, to join their team and develop the department going forward.
- Customer Retention and Market Development
- To contribute towards and to support new business sales and marketing campaigns
- To generate income to achieve financial performance targets
- To maintain an awareness of competitors, construction developments, government business initiatives, current and proposed legislation in relation to commercial activities
- To contribute to and support the development and implementation of professional services including service improvement, customer satisfaction, public relations, marketing, performance management and other business initiatives
- To represent the company at networking events, conferences and exhibitions to enhance the company profile and optimise all business development opportunities
- To focus on striving for excellence by driving out unnecessary waste through continuous process improvement
- To contribute to ensuring that all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost and efficiency targets in line with business objectives
- Proven practical experience in Building Control that includes commercial and industrial work and enforcement of Building Regulations
- Experience in dealing with dangerous structures and demolitions
- Experience of working in Approved Inspectors
- Experience of working under BS EN ISO 9001 quality accreditation
- Competent in the assessment of building failure
- Effective communication in relation to staff, meetings with developers and their agents, events with the public, stakeholders and government officials
- Competent in the application of Building Regulation and associated legislation including court action and enforcement action
- Full driving licence
