We’re looking for a Senior/Principal Water Environment Modeller (or an experienced Consultant ready to step up) to join our growing Water Environment team in the south west of England. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on innovative projects, from nature-based solutions and flood risk management to drainage design and climate change assessments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering hydraulic modelling for river and urban flood risk projects.
- Championing technical innovation to enhance project efficiency and quality.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Producing and reviewing high-quality technical reports.
What You’ll Need
- Experience with 1D/2D hydraulic modelling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-2D, Flood Modeller-TUFLOW, Infoworks-ICM).
- Strong understanding of flood risk management techniques and option appraisals.
- Familiarity with UK flood risk planning policies and hydrological methodologies.
- Excellent technical report writing and review skills.
- Experience in collaborative working, with strong communication skills for engaging with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Commercial awareness with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Project management experience (for senior/principal level).
