We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Highways Engineer to join our dynamic team in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of highways infrastructure, contributing to the improvement and expansion of transportation networks in the region. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact in the field of highways engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of detailed design, feasibility studies and scheme reports on a variety of projects.
- Provide assurance that scheme designs comply with specification and agreed programme.
- Work to ensure designs comply with health and safety regulations and CDM requirements.
- Ensure designs are assessed for environmental impacts.
- Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders and third parties.
- Coordinate with other team members associated with the design.
- Support junior team members working on projects.
Candidate Profile:
- Sound knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets.
- Ability to engage and conduct effective negotiations with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and third parties.
- Detailed understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
- Competent in use of Civils 3D.
