As a leader in the design, development, and delivery of offsite-prefabricated energy systems, they take pride in offering groundbreaking decarbonisation solutions throughout Ireland, UK and Europe. As part of their mission to drive the transition to renewable and low-carbon energy solutions, they are excited to announce an opportunity for a Head of Energy Solutions to join their Decarbonisation team. This pivotal role will shape the future of sustainable energy delivery across a diverse portfolio of public and commercial sectors.
About the Role: The Head of Energy Solutions will lead the development of forward-thinking solutions across a range of decarbonisation projects, including district heating systems, energy centres, and renewable technology integrations. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will liaise with clients and set out the project scope to best meet the client’s objectives, ensuring designs meet the highest standards of efficiency, innovation, and compliance while supporting their mission to drive decarbonisation in building services.
Your Responsibilities:
- Management
- Develop and lead the company’s design strategies for decarbonisation projects, ensuring alignment with evolving industry standards and sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and external partners to understand requirements and propose tailored decarbonisation solutions.
- Undertake site appraisal surveys and develop initial feasibility proposals for client review.
- Collaborate with relevant planning, building control, architects, engineers, consultants and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and codes.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to assist in preparation of detailed project budget proposals.
- Foster team development through strategic resourcing, mentoring, technical training, and capacity building.
- Manage technical oversight, advisory services, and project analysis across a range of decarbonisation initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support energy-related business planning processes, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Provide strategic advice grounded in technical expertise and data-driven insights, including energy system optimization.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and regulatory changes to ensure designs remain at the cutting edge of decarbonisation.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant legislation, standards, and environmental best practices.
- Lead the development and implementation of decarbonisation solutions, integrating value engineering and emerging technologies into project delivery.
- Analyse technical project details and attend site visits to ensure proposals meet client requirements while enhancing bid quality.
- Deliver high-quality energy and sustainability analyses and provide thought leadership in the decarbonisation space.
- Clearly articulate complex technical solutions to stakeholders, ensuring understanding and trust through transparency and integrity.
What You’ll Bring:
- A proven background in decarbonisation, renewable energy, or sustainability leadership roles.
