Group Health & Safety Manager
Salary: £85,000 per annum + £7k Car Allowance
Location: Based in Barnet, with regional coverage across London & the South East
Coverage: Group-Level Responsibilities + Operational Oversight (London & South East)
We are seeking a confident and experienced Group Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of our health and safety strategy and operations across the business. Based in our Barnet head office, this role combines group-level strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight of projects in London and the South East.
This is a critical leadership role for someone who can drive continuous improvement, embed best practices across multiple business units, and actively support operational teams with practical, site-level guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve the Group\’s H&S strategy, ensuring consistency across all divisions
- Standardise and modernise H&S processes, policies, and reporting systems
- Provide day-to-day support and oversight to site teams across London and the South East
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Deliver training, toolbox talks, and guidance to improve site-level compliance and awareness
- Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies as required
- Report directly to senior leadership with regular updates and improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Significant H&S experience within social housing, planned maintenance, or a similar live environment
- Strong understanding of operational challenges in occupied property settings
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on site engagement
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and relevant memberships (e.g. IOSH)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Please note: This role is not suited to candidates from Tier 1 D&B or infrastructure backgrounds, as this does not align with our delivery model
