Civil & Structural Engineering, Transport Infrastructure
We are seeking a Senior Engineer or Principal Engineer to join a large international team in Sheffield, Manchester or Leeds, United Kingdom. You will be working as part of a growing and successful Civil team with a big focus on Civil Infrastructure projects of varying sizes in the residential sector and commercial sector.
This consultancy is looking for a near chartered or Chartered Engineer who will need to have a versatile Civil background. You will have to have detailed design experience and have experience working on transport infrastructure, master planning, buildings and water-based projects. Having experience with flood risk and drainage strategies, road and masterplan development will be key.
You will be working with a wider team of 130 people across the north and can be based out of any of the locations mentioned. As a Senior or Principal, you will be expected to have proven project management experience on complex schemes and liaison with clients and contractors.
Experience:- 6 years minimum of experience as a Civil Engineer with a focus on infrastructure design
- If Principal – Proven track record delivering and leading packages of work
- Principal engineer must be CEng or equivalent
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Site 3D/Civil 3D
- Experience with drainage packages such as Microdrainage or Info
- Strong understanding and design capabilities for Section 278, S38, S104, S106 applications
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
