Access Talent Group is recruiting for a Drainage Engineer within their highway infrastructure consultancy team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a rewarding career in a fast-growing, dynamic practice focused on active travel and highway infrastructure projects.

The role includes:

  1. Developing drainage solutions for highway, infrastructure, and flood alleviation schemes from feasibility through to construction stages.
  2. Using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Causeway Flow drainage design software.
  3. Preparing NEC tender/contract documentation and supporting fee proposals and bids.
  4. Designing sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), including SAB applications, and environmental land drainage solutions.
  5. Assisting in cost estimation and mentoring junior staff.
  6. Producing drainage design calculations, models, drawings, and specifications.
  7. Applying a thorough understanding of drainage principles including foul, surface water, land drainage, and SuDS.
  8. Managing projects to meet quality and commercial targets, with experience in highway schemes such as Section 38/278 and Section 104/106 schemes.

This role requires proficiency in Civil 3D and Causeway Flow, with experience in technical approvals and construction documentation.
