Access Talent Group are currently recruiting for a small multidiscipline Consultancy in Edinburgh. Our client is looking for a Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer to join the flood and water management team. Our client is looking for an experienced engineer to come into an existing drainage and flood team to work on local authority and transportation projects. This multidisciplinary consultancy offers fantastic flexible working for all engineers to give them the work-life balance they need. A successful engineer will have the ability to promote to senior with good performance as they prefer to promote from within rather than recruit externally. Their team works on flood risk assessments and flood risk projects which will integrate drainage design and SUDS designs for public realm schemes.

Responsibilities:

  • Working on a spectrum of drainage strategies
  • Drainage design and review of existing networks
  • Assisting in SUDs design from concept through to implementation
  • Drainage detail design including specification and schedules
  • Seek to add value on all works and knowledge sharing
  • Ensure quality control
  • Assist in the estimation of works costs and bidding of new works
  • Analysing problems and developing innovative solutions

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with drainage and SUDs design
  • Software experience with Microdrainage, Civil 3D, and Info Drainage
  • Experience producing Flood Risk Assessments
  • Organised and ability to meet deadlines
