Access have partnered with a Civil, Structures, Geotechnical and Environmental consultancy who are looking to add a Principal Engineer or Associate Director to their ranks in their office in the North East. Our client has several hundred employees in the UK, a notable achievement given they are approaching their 18th birthday. They are currently working on some of the largest civil engineering and environmental projects across Europe. Due to a combination of sustained success and a long-term business director retiring in the next 18 months, our client is looking to find their next management hire.
Our client is in a unique position to be able to offer a lengthy and educational transition period between the successful applicant and the current Director. The ideal candidate will be expected to shadow our client’s current Director for the short term, learning how our client works, understanding the company culture, and fully assimilating into the business as a whole. The successful applicant will be involved from day one in both operational engineering management and mentorship, as well as commercial development and growth by contributing to tendering and bidding processes. Our client offers an “overly competitive” package, justified by the successful applicant possessing industry-leading experience and a desire to learn how to morph into a senior management position.
To be successful in this role, applicants should:
- Have experience in a Principal or Associate level Engineering position
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Have the right to live and work in the UK
