We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Construction Workforce Manager to oversee the effective deployment and management of the workforce and subcontractors on data centre projects. This role combines remote work with travel to various European sites to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workforce Management: Coordinate and manage the deployment of skilled construction workers and subcontractors to data centre projects. Monitor workforce availability, capacity, and utilization to meet project demands effectively. Resolve workforce-related issues, including scheduling conflicts or resource shortages.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Manage subcontractor relationships to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to project timelines. Conduct regular site visits to oversee subcontractor activities and address any performance concerns.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement workforce schedules that align with project milestones and deadlines. Work closely with site managers to forecast labor requirements and plan for peak construction phases.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all workforce and subcontractors comply with local labor laws, safety standards, and company policies. Champion safety awareness and best practices across all sites.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of workforce deployment, performance, and site activities. Prepare regular reports on workforce and subcontractor performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in workforce or construction management, ideally on data centre or similar large-scale projects. Proven track record of managing teams across multiple locations in Europe.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of workforce planning, labor laws, and subcontractor management. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction methodologies, scheduling, and resource allocation. Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of workforce management software is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required. Additional European languages are advantageous.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel frequently across Europe as required by project demands.
