We are seeking a technician or Senior Civil Engineering Technician to join a SME Consultancy in Bath, United Kingdom. You will be working as part of a growing team of civil professionals with a big focus on Civil Infrastructure projects of varying sizes and sectors. As a key member of our Civil Engineering team, you will be responsible for working with Engineers Seniors, Associates, Graduates, and Directors. You will be working predominantly on projects in the Industrial and Commercial sector. You will have a background in Civil Infrastructure, Cut and fill, Earth Works, Road, and Site design. Having drainage design experience would be desirable but not essential.
Candidate Profile
- 5 years minimum of experience as a Civil Technician with a focus on infrastructure design
- Proven track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects within a team
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD, Site 3D/Civil 3D
- Beneficial if you have experience with drainage packages such as Microdrainage or Info drainage but not essential
- Strong understanding and design capabilities for Section 278, S38, S104, S106 applications
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction
- Autonomous approach to work
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Working Conditions
- Hybrid working: 3 days a week in the office
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- 37.5 hours working week
