We are seeking a skilled Civil Drainage and Infrastructure Engineer to join an External Works SME in a North West team in the United Kingdom. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Design team, you will be responsible for developing infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget and timeline. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and a proven track record of delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. Their projects cover the North West and Wales, so having SABS Drainage experience would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical design outputs across project stages, covering earthworks, pavement layouts, and sustainable drainage solutions from early feasibility through to construction.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including environmental agencies, water companies, drainage and highways authorities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and specialist consultants to achieve integrated project outcomes.
- Oversee programme and budgetary aspects of engineering deliverables, ensuring work is delivered on time and within scope.
Experience and qualifications
- Skilled user of design software such as Causeway Flow, PDS, and AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of relevant procedures, regulations, and industry standards.
- HNC or degree in Civil Engineering, supported by at least three years of practical experience; progress towards professional accreditation is desirable.
- Comfortable handling multiple projects and managing client accounts simultaneously.
