Access Services is seeking to hire full-time Caregivers / Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for our Older Adult day program located in Hatfield, PA.

Our person-centered caregivers work with each individual\’s personal goals and help them maintain or increase their level of independence and live their best lives.
Skills required to work in our Older Adult Day Program:
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to navigate software
- Typing, using dropdowns
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to verbalize with staff, supervisors, and client\’s families
- Ability to complete daily electronic documentation

- Willingness to learn
- Training on behavioral techniques preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting
Key Goals and Responsibilities:
- Focus on helping the individual served maintain their overall holistic wellness, emotional health, physical health, and social wellness
- We do this as a program by providing a variety of activities throughout the day, such as:
- Exercise and physical games
- Discussion opportunities around daily living tasks
- Crafts
- Trivia and Word puzzles
- Social opportunities
- Help facilitate the activities
- Provide assistance with personal care
- Meals
- Personal care
- If a client has specific medical needs, we will provide training on how to care for them
Candidates must meet all qualifying and ongoing job criteria including background checks, physical examination results, and clearances.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A validdriver\’s license is preferred.
Compensation and Schedule:
- Starting at $17+/hour based on experience and education.
- This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday-Friday 8:15AM-3:45PM

Essential Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Work in program sites and the community routinely providing direct care and support with client(s). Stand, sit or run by self, or to provide proper care and supervision with a client. Able to move and stay with a client to keep him/her safe, both in home environment and community, even when client may be difficult or uncooperative, both at near and far distances. Able to assist a client who has fallen, regardless of weight or size. Walk, climb stairs by self, or to provide direct care ensuring client’s safety, or to complete household and community tasks. Perform household tasks or tasks within the community such as laundry, cleaning, completing meal routines, shopping or dining out and, at the same time, ensuring client’s safety and proper direct care and compliance with ISP.
