About Access Point
Access Point is a commercialisation and promotions business with over 28 years’ experience working with major UK venues, including supermarkets, retail parks, shopping centres and garden centres. We help venues monetise unused space and connect them with brands, charities and businesses looking to promote their products and services through high-footfall, real-world activations. Based in our converted Old Courthouse in Southport, we’re proud of our culture, our community involvement and the long-term careers we build – but we’re equally clear that success here comes from hard work, resilience and commercial focus.
About the Role
This is a new business–led sales role, particularly in the first 6–12 months. You will be responsible for building your own client base from scratch by identifying organisations that want to hire promotional space and converting them through proactive outbound sales. Over time, if you build your client base well, the role naturally evolves. You’ll spend more time managing and growing your accounts, nurturing long-term relationships, solving problems for clients, and helping them build their brand by matching them to the right commercial spaces. This role suits someone who enjoys both winning new business and developing relationships, and who is motivated by building something sustainable rather than inheriting an existing portfolio.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building Your Client Base (New Business Focus)
- Proactively sourcing and contacting potential clients via phone, email and LinkedIn
- Identifying organisations suited to promotional space (e.g. charities, home improvement companies, utilities, automotive, FMCG, local and national brands)
- Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to booking
- Building and maintaining a structured and accurate sales pipeline using CRM
- Acting as the main point of contact for your clients
- Nurturing long-term relationships and encouraging repeat bookings
- Upselling additional locations, longer booking periods and new opportunities
- Cross-selling opportunities across different venues and regions
- Understanding client objectives and matching them to the most suitable spaces and locations
- Proactively solving problems and ensuring a strong client experience
- Working to clear activity, pipeline and revenue KPIs
- Forecasting accurately and keeping CRM data up to date
- Sharing insights and opportunities with the wider sales team
- Working with marketing to improve targeting, messaging and conversion
What Success Looks Like
- First 3 months
- High outbound activity and pipeline development
- Growing confidence in product knowledge, pitching and objection handling
- Regular achievement of KPIs
- A stable base of repeat clients
- Ongoing account growth through upsell and cross-sell
- Trusted relationships and strong commercial performance
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a sales or commercial role (B2B preferred)
- Proven ability to generate new business or build something from scratch
- Strong resilience and self-motivation
- Confidence working to targets and KPIs
- Excellent communication skills (phone-based sales experience is a strong advantage)
- Experience in advertising, media sales, events, promotions or field marketing
- Understanding of structured sales processes
- We’re open to candidates from different backgrounds, but you must be comfortable with outbound, proactive sales and building your own success.
Training, Support & Development
- Structured onboarding and induction programme
- Clear 90-day ramp plan with defined expectations
- Call reviews and pipeline support to help you improve and progress
- Hands-on management support, coaching and regular 1:1s
- Clear opportunities for development as your client base grows
What You’ll Get
- Uncapped commission and performance bonuses (Realistic OTE £35k in Yr 1)
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing to 25 days)
- Cycle to work scheme
- Private medical insurance (after 1 year)
- Regular team and company social events
- A supportive, collaborative office-based culture
