We have a strong customer base and continue to grow year on year, so much so we now need to expand our team. This is an exciting time for the company and the right candidate for the role will need to be enthusiastic, forward thinking and personable with the drive to hit the floor running, in order to take full advantage of the opportunities available to them. This is a field-based role working with multiple clients across different sectors.
If you are a skilled Experienced Commercial Door Engineer, look no further. We have opportunities in our service department to join our installation teams. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate start dates available.
The Role
As an Experienced Commercial Door Engineer, you will be responsible for installation, repair, service, and maintenance of a variety of commercial door systems, including automatic and manual doors, roller shutters, sectional doors, security and steel doors, on customer sites across the country. You will also be part of the on-call rota for emergency repairs for our customer account holders.
Key Responsibilities
- A strong electrical/mechanical engineering background.
- The role will entail site attendance, fault finding, estimating repair requirements, fault diagnosis and service calls along with advising customers of potential equipment faults.
- Respond to emergency call-outs for repairs.
- Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered on-site.
- Carry out effective communications with the client and administration team.
- Ensure the company meets its obligations and adheres to guidelines and regulations laid down by the professional bodies they subscribe to.
- Work closely with other engineers and provide support and training to more junior members of the team.
- At least 2 years' experience working in the commercial door sector would be advantageous.
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- EN16005, IPAF & PASMA Certified (Preferred).
- A positive attitude and the ability to self-motivate is a must.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
