Location: Watford, Herts

Salary: £35,000-£38,000 p.a. (salary dependent on experience) + bonuses. OTE £3,000-£4,000 performance related bonus scheme.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be a Branch Manager for Access Garage Doors, overseeing the planning, coordination, and operation of the Watford branch. Responsibilities include managing a team of four staff, handling enquiries and sales, responding to emails, processing orders, and scheduling installations. This is a “hands‑on” role that requires lifting garage doors and familiarizing with all products.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of 4 staff.
  • Handling enquiries and sales of garage doors and related products.
  • Responding to emails.
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries from the general public, work colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Handling face‑to‑face customer interactions.
  • Performing some heavy lifting.
  • Checking condition and quantities of all delivered goods against delivery notes.

Essential Skills & Competencies

  • Sales skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • IT literate.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Clean driving licence – a maximum of 3 points is acceptable.

Desirable

  • Experience in the garage door/construction industry, builders merchants, home improvements, etc.

Hours – Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5.00pm plus Saturday 9.00 – 12.30pm on a rota basis.
