Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Mortgage Adviser to join our growing team. The successful candidate will guide clients through the complex process of securing mortgages, offering expert advice tailored to their individual needs and circumstances.

You will work with a range of mortgage products from the whole of the lending market, ensuring the best options are available to clients. This role requires excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their financial situation, property requirements, and mortgage needs.
  • Mortgage Advice: Provide expert advice on suitable mortgage products and explain the terms, risks, and costs involved.
  • Research mortgage products from a wide range of lenders, identifying the best deals for clients based on their unique circumstances.
  • Applications Management: Assist clients with mortgage applications, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Lender Relations: Build and maintain relationships with mortgage lenders and financial institutions to stay updated on product offerings and lending criteria.
  • Record Keeping: Keep detailed and accurate records of client interactions and advice provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay informed about the UK housing and mortgage market trends, interest rate changes, and government schemes like Help to Buy or shared ownership.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • CeMAP Qualification (or equivalent) is required.
  • Strong understanding of the UK mortgage market, products, and regulations.
