To support the smooth running of the Campus, working closely with the Facilities and Campus Managers to ensure that the buildings, facilities and services are provided and maintained to all company and legislative standards. To provide front line technical, IT, resources and facilities related support to students and staff with the focus on the provision of an exceptional student experience. This may include support at differing locations depending on the needs of the campus and business as a whole.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the setup, maintenance and day-to-day operation of IT and AV equipment across campus, including Mac OS, Windows, ChromeOS, Google Workspace and JAMF systems.
  • Provide front-line technical support, troubleshooting and resolving issues with IT networks, classroom AV systems, and specialist equipment.
  • Maintain and repair equipment, including basic electronic repairs, cable making and replacement of serviceable parts.
  • Carry out general building and facilities maintenance tasks using hand and power tools where required.
  • Act as first point of contact for staff and students needing technical or facilities support.
  • Manage and coordinate equipment and room bookings, ensuring resources are correctly issued and tracked.
  • Schedule and complete routine testing and preventative maintenance across systems and equipment.
  • Liaise with external contractors for maintenance, upgrades and compliance checks including electrical, fire and security systems.
  • Support the safe operation of the site including keyholding duties, opening and closing the building and responding to alarm callouts where required.
  • Support the planning and delivery of room upgrades, facility improvements and resource procurement with the Campus Facilities Manager.
  • Assist with inductions, user training and technical support for specialist spaces and student projects.
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure reliable infrastructure across the site.
  • Support events, exams and teaching delivery through setup and technical assistance.

Desirable technical experience includes

  • Adobe Creative Suite, music production tools (Logic Pro, Ableton Live), AV and lighting systems (including DMX), streaming platforms and hardware (e.g. ATEM, OBS), and experience with VR, gaming engines (Unity, Unreal, Blender), cameras and multimedia equipment.
