Overview
Outreach & Events Officer role at Access Creative College (ACC). The post focuses on regional engagement, coordination of open days, recruitment events, exhibitions and outreach activities for the Bristol campus, with support for other campuses and national initiatives when required.

The role
The Outreach & Events Officer will be an integral part of ACC’s Outreach and Events Team, responsible for the successful management and execution of open days, recruitment events, exhibitions, and outreach activities. You will be an ambassador, a storyteller, and a catalyst for change, with the freedom to innovate and make a tangible impact on our community.
Responsibilities
- Outreach and student recruitment
- Develop and maintain relationships with regional schools, colleges, community groups, and charities.
- Organise, plan, and deliver targeted outreach events within your centre and local FE colleges, schools and community groups.
- Represent ACC at key career and education fairs regionally and nationally.
- Deliver presentations, workshops, and hands-on activities to engage potential students.
- Develop and support outreach programs for underrepresented groups.
- Collaborate with subject area specialists to identify and develop new activities that showcase ACC’s offer.
- Collaborate with local organisations and industry partners to enhance outreach, alongside Business Development Managers.
- Support all aspects of the applicant journey from initial lead generation through to enrolment.
- Open Days and Events Management
- Plan, coordinate and deliver Open Days, Taster Days and other student recruitment events at your campus and, when required, other sites.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an exceptional on-the-day experience.
- Partner with the marketing team to develop promotional materials for each event to increase sign-ups and attendance.
- Evaluate event success and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Student Ambassador Initiative
- Lead an annual campaign to recruit student ambassadors from all years, ensuring diverse representation.
- Oversee onboarding, training and reimbursement for hours worked.
- Equip ambassadors with skills to represent ACC and engage with prospective students.
- Coordinate ambassadors’ schedules to ensure availability for key events and outreach activities.
- Oversee administration of Student ambassadors at the designated centre.
- Marketing & Content Support
- Manage your centre’s social media platforms to increase followers and engagement.
- Collaborate with central marketing on recruitment campaigns to bolster lead generation.
- Support local and national promotional strategies with the central marketing team.
- Capture stories, achievements, and highlights from the campus into compelling content pieces.
- Contribute to social media with documentation of events and outreach activities for maximum engagement.
