Access Creative College is seeking a passionate and experienced educator to lead and inspire the next generation of creative talent at our Birmingham Campus. This is a vital role at the heart of the learner experience — leading student cohorts and delivering high-quality education in a creative and forward-thinking environment.

Who we are

We are Access Creative College (ACC), formerly known as Access to Music, founded in 1992. We’re an Ofsted ‘Good’ provider with 7 campuses and over 2,500 students nationwide. We are part of Access Education Group, which includes 32 campuses nationwide with over 5,000 students and apprentices across ACC, dBs Institute (Higher Education) and Access Sport.

About you

The ideal applicant will have experience and a relevant degree in Games Art. They don’t necessarily need to be a qualified teacher if they are willing to learn on the job and have the passion to teach and inspire a new generation. Traditional art skills are essential and 3D software knowledge is required. The tutor should be adaptable and able to fit in with a team of creatives, reporting to their line manager to ensure smooth running of their course. They will be required to attend open days and talk passionately about their course.

What we’re looking for

  • Deliver engaging sessions in Traditional Art, Digital Art, and Concept Art across a variety of levels and modules.
  • Lead modules including:
  • Character & Environment Design
  • World Creation
  • Graphic Narrative and Visual Storytelling
  • Games Design and Analysis
  • Support learners through creative project work from planning through to realisation.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of curriculum materials, including lesson planning and assessment.
  • Foster a positive classroom culture that supports creativity, independence, and industry readiness.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills to create stellar Schemes of Work and session plans, and to manage assessment administration including moderation and verification of coursework.
  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related subject area; Maths and English qualifications at level 2 or above. A teaching qualification is desirable; if you don’t have one, we will pay for you to obtain one and provide time to study.
